Number of years in the outdoor industry: With many years of experience working professionally within the outdoor and climate sector, I bring over a decade of grassroots activism with Surfers Against Sewage, where I was deeply involved in ocean advocacy and community action. Moving to Protect Our Winters marked a natural transition from the ocean to the mountains, expanding my perspective on climate and environmental issues. Now, through my work with EOCA, it feels especially meaningful to support initiatives that connect and protect both land and sea.
Favourite wild place: There are so many along the Pembrokeshire coast, the kind of hidden spot you can only reach on foot or by sea. The ones that stay with me most are the ones that still feel undiscovered: scrambling down rocks, arriving somewhere quiet, and knowing you’ve had to earn it. One I’ll cautiously name is Tug Wreck (Solva). Some places are better left off the map.
Favourite outdoor activity: A mix of trail running, swimming, surfing, and skating. Anything that gets me outside, keeps me present, and pushes me a little out of my comfort zone.
Perfect day: I feel very lucky that my perfect day is already part of my routine. Every Monday, I spend six hours with two wonderful ladies for what we call our weekly ‘board meeting’. Sometimes we talk about work, but mostly we’re on a board of some kind, in the ocean or at the skatepark. It’s a mix of movement, laughter, perspective and plenty of tea and homemade sweet treats. As long as we’re outdoors, we know we’ve set the week up right.
