Transa Backpacking is a pioneer in Outdoor &Travel gear retail in Switzerland. The company was founded in 1976 and has grown to become one of the leading outdoor retailers in Switzerland.
We run 6 Outdoor &Travel gear shops in Basel, Bern, Luzern, St. Gallen, Winterthur and Zürich and 2 Outlet shops in Zürich and Bern and a specialized bike shop in Zürich. We are also the parent company of Outdoor Trading who run all11 Jack Wolfskin Stores and the mailorder business of Jack Wolfskin in Switzerland.
Why we are involved with EOCA?
Being in the outdoor and travelbusiness the concervation of the great outdoors has always been an issue for Transa and it’s emloyees. So it seamed very natural and logical to get involved with the EOCA.
