The Stuttgart-based software company OUTTRA has succeeded in creating an ecosystem that now links more than 1,000 participating retailers and brands in a synergistic way. This works via a smart information platform that offers a very high level of service and is specifically focused on the sports and outdoor industry. On the brand’s website, the end customer is shown at which retailer a certain article is currently available.

Local retailers in particular can be specifically supported with this tool. In contrast to online retailers, they previously had no way of displaying the current availability of certain products on the internet. This problem is solved by OUTTRA’s “Where-to-buy local” tool. It is a fact that most end customers inform themselves on the websites of the brands before making a purchase decision, and it is exactly there that the “Where-to-buy” module is integrated at the product level and in the dealer search. Users are shown which local retailers in their region generally carry products of this brand and which retailers currently have exactly the selected article in stock in the desired variant and size. In a virtual shop window, the OUTTRA “Shop Window”, visitors to the brand website can see which products the retailer also carries from this brand.

The fact that the system works for small, large, classic and trendy brands is shown by the portfolio of those who already trust in OUTTRA – such as Chillaz, FISCHER, ORTOVOX, Vaude, Ziener, Maier Sports, GONSO, Exped and Mountain Equipment.
