How did you become involved with EOCA: I first met Tanya and Catherine while working for Eagle Creek and signing up as an EOCA member in 2011.
More than ever, it is evident that the work of EOCA is vital for the conservation of nature and wild places, and while this is also resonating with the Stanley Brand values, I am glad that I can continue to support in order to make a difference.
Number of years in the outdoor industry: On and off for 13 years.
What else do you promote to support conservation: I am commuting to my work by bike and train. In my private life, I am doing as much as I can with the bike(s). While doing groceries, I am paying attention to buying locally and seasonally and try not to eat too much meat with my family. Just to name a few…
Favourite wild place: Since having children I appreciate what’s right in front of our doorstep, like the dunes in North Holland or the beautiful places all over the Black Forest (I was born and raised there). Apart from that I love pretty much everything from the Great Barrier Reef to the French Alps.
Favourite outdoor activity: Running, camping, anything in the snow.
Perfect day: Waking up early in our camper van, enjoying a coffee outside and getting ready for an adventure packed day with the kids.
