TFT Trail Clean Programme 2024/25, UK

Trash Free Trails (TFT) is a community-focussed, non-profit organisation; a positive call to arms for riders, runners, and roamers alike. TFT exists to protect our trails and the wild places they take us, and they are starting with single use pollution (aka; Litter!).

This project seeks to build on the work of earlier projects funded by TNF; to capitalise on the skill, passion and desire of the TrashMob generated by the outputs and outcomes of “Let’s Do It Ourselves” and “Purposeful Adventures” to motivate more people across the UK and worldwide to remove more Single Use Pollution from their trails and wild places than before.

The project aims to: clean approximately 6,000km of trails, involving over 3,000 people; co-create and deliver four digital conferences to a total of 50 trail communities (representing an estimated 5000 trail users); produce two short films documenting Trail Clean activations; and finally, release the 2024 instalment of the State of Our Trails (SoOT) report.
