The ArBolivia Project is an initiative to promote reforestation, improved land use and fair trade. The initiative seeks practical solutions to increasing worldwide deforestation, climate change, and poverty in developing countries.

Wild Ennerdale is a partnership of people and organisations with a vision to see the Ennerdale Valley develop as a wilder place for the benefit of people and nature. Ennerdale is a uniquely wild valley lying within the world famous Lake District National Park. The organisation aims to protect and expand its valuable and fragile habitats and species, and the sense of wildness experienced by visitors.

Conservation and Restoration in Snowdonia Maintaining the PYG Track on Snowdon
The Snowdonia Society was established in 1967 in response to a growing number of serious threats to Snowdonia National Park. Its work continues to protect the Park from over development, but also enhances and celebrates the National Park as a home for native flora and fauna, and as a top outdoor visitor destination.

Lake District Path Repair Massive erosion
Fix the Fells is a partnership encouraging greater understanding and support for upland access, as well as repairing seriously eroded landscapes in the Lake District National Park. In 1999, 180 paths were identified as in need of urgent repair. With over 8 million visitors each year, and despite repairing over 150 paths, there are a further 60 now in need of repair.

Mountain Wilderness aims to unite alpinists and mountain lovers throughout the world in the defence of the mountains. Its goal is to preserve the last mountain wilderness areas for the use of present and future mountaineers.

10,000 hectares of Wilderness Protecting the wildlife
PAN Parks Foundation was set up to protect the last remaining pieces of truly untouched areas in Europe, by creating a network of well-managed wilderness parks which would provide a unique experience for visitors. Wilderness conservation in Europe has been largely ignored in the past and such areas are in danger of being lost. PAN Parks Foundation’s ambition is to bring one million hectares of European wilderness into guaranteed protection, safeguarding it for future generations, by 2015.

Reduce Plastics Campaign Tonnes of rubbish
Surfrider Foundation Europe is dedicated to defending, improving and managing in a sustainable manner the ocean, coastline, waves and the people who enjoy them. Created in 1990, the organisation brings together about 1000 volunteers, 5000 members, 40 local groups, and more than 15,000 supporters across Europe. Surfrider’s programmes are dedicated to the enhancement and protection of the environment and education and awareness-raising for all ages.
