SPRING 2023 VOTE HAS NOW ENDED – THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART!
Twice a year, we receive applications from conservation organisations with projects that urgently need funding for up to €30,000. Following a rigorous selection procedure, we create a shortlist of projects we would be very happy to fund. Since we can not fund them all, we ask for YOUR help in choosing projects to receive funding!!
We have put our shortlisted projects into 3 categories. All projects looking for funding are addressing biodiversity loss and the climate emergency, in a wide range of habitats and landscapes. This is in line with our current focus; Wild for Nature: EOCA’s Landscape Legacy Project. All of the projects address a threat to a species or a habitat AND have a link to the outdoor enthusiast. The voting categories relate to the type of habitat the projects are working in.
The date for the next project vote will be announced soon. When it is, please get involved by choosing your favourite project in each category. The project which receives the most votes in each category will receive the funding they have requested from EOCA.
The categories of our project vote are:
FOREST – projects working to protect, restore or replant wooded and forested areas
WATER – includes projects working to conserve oceans, freshwater lakes, rivers and streams, wetlands and water sources.
WILD PLACES – includes projects conserving biodiversity and habitats, particularly those which sequester carbon such as peatlands and meadowlands.
PLEASE VOTE!: You can vote in each of the categories for your favourite project via this website. You can however vote only once in each category. You will need to be logged in to vote, you can log in/register here
