During the infamous OutDoor Party at the OutDoor Show, Friedrichshafen this weekend, the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) took to the main stage to announce that they were naming Original Buff, S.A., Wild Roses (International) AG, and Nikwax Ltd as their three 2012 Conservation Champions.
In front of thousands of members of the outdoor industry, John Jansen, President of EOCA, and Managing Director and Head of Keen EMEA, awarded the certificates to these three EOCA members who have gone the extra mile in supporting conservation, and led the way in innovative fundraising efforts.
Original Buff, S.A. received their award due to their momentous donation to conservation. For the second year in a row, they have committed to fund 3 conservation projects in their entirety, ensuring the conservation of forests, meadows, and threatened species in Spain, France and the UK. In addition, they have produced a limited edition Buff® to commemorate EOCA raising its first €1 million for conservation in just 6 years of existence. John Jansen commented “Original Buff continue to lead the way in taking EOCA to another level. By utilising EOCA to manage their environmental giving programme, they ensure that their donations are focused on addressing issues being faced by the wild spaces we are all so passionate about.
